A new meal solution that mixes non-perishable and fresh elements!!!
Perishable food is any food that is not heat-treated, not frozen, and not otherwise preserved in a manner to prevent the quality of the food from being adversely affected, if held longer than seven (7) calendar days under normal shipping and storage conditions (per FDA).
That means anything that will either spoil or become unsafe to eat after 7 days is perishable.
Perishable - fruits, vegetables, fish, fresh dairy products, eggs
Non-perishable - flour, sugar, cereals, packaged cookies and crackers, peanut butter, dried beans, canned goods, frozen foods
There are few types of foods and there are perishable and non-perishable food. Perishable foods have a short shelf life up to 3 days and non perishable foods have shelf life up to 3 years. Example of perishable foods are meat and vegetables. Example for non-perishable foods are canned food.
Examples of perishable foods: fresh bread, fresh fruit, chicken broth, milk
Example of non-perishable foods: granulated sugar, honey, dried fruits, dried grains, dried pasta, white rice.
A new meal solution that mixes non-perishable and fresh elements in my opinion is:
The meal is Dried and Canned beans.
The ingredients involve dried and canned beans. The beans contains plant-based proteins, B vitamins, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, iron, copper and zinc. They pair well with a number of foods, making them hearty additions to soups, salads and grain dishes.
